"Matt Alcorn jumped back on his winning ways, scoring victory number two of the PKC North season in S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto. Round two winner Cameron Pringle led things to begin the event, as he edged Alcorn by just 53-thousandths of a second in qualifying. Alcorn, however, held the advantage through both heat races and the feature, leading all three races flag-to-flag. WSK Sarno Round Results, 6-6-2010

May 2010

Celebration at Energy Corse on Sunday evening at Genk. Its lead driver, Paolo De Conto has indeed accumulated enough ahead never to be joined in the WSK ranking Euro Series KZ2. The WSK title Euro Series in 2010 is attributed to him even before the final event of Sarno next month!
'' We're very pleased for the team to win the title before his term WSK says Michele Panigada. Paolo dominated the KZ2 category since the first test by winning seven of eight races and Marcel (Jeleniowski) is third in the standings . This proves that our equipment is top in tests of the highest international level. But I do not forget to congratulate the pilot and to thank him for his excellent work on behalf of the entire team: a big bravo Paolo! '

Happy Holidays from Syar Motorsport!

11-2009
Following four years of racing support from SYAR MOTORSPORT of California, the new Energy Corse America structure triumphed in Las Vegas at the 13th Supernationals. Nicolaj Moller-Madsen led his Energy-TM to victory in KF2, and so did Antonio Dettori in G1-Shifter, JP. Cadoux climbed on the third step of the podium in TaG Master, while Tony Lavanant showed excellent abilities in Super Pro.
On 20, 21 and 22 November, the Energy chassis were ready for their appointment with the City of gambling. For the Italian brand's drivers, no need to spin the roulette in Las Vegas casinos. In the parking lot of imposing Rio Hotel, Energy Corse America – the team born out of the determination to succeed of famous Italian company Energy – had not to wait long to see results coming in.
"Our equipment and our methods have worked perfectly in Europe, so now we are going to use the same recipe to offer the drivers of this new structure the best possible chances of success", stressed Alberto Tonti, one of the managers of Energy Corse-Fly Kart, which has triumphed in many international races over the last few years.
German Champion in 2009, Nicolaj Moller-Madsen drove his highly-competitive Energy-TM kart to victory in KF2. "There were excellent drivers such as Maisano, Tiene or Kanamaru. In the heats, the situation was still fluid, then I managed to make a difference in the final race", the winner rejoiced. His team mate Joel Johansson – a candidate to the podium – ended 5th, while Jake Lloyd was 9th.
The very prestigious G1 category, with 125cc gearbox engines, was also conquered by an Energy-TM kart, thanks to Antonio Dettori's success. Though Luca Casperi had to stop in the TaG Junior final, after finishing all his heats in the top 6, in TaG Master JP. Cadoux climbed on the thirst step of the podium after an impressive progression in the final race.
In Super Pro, the highlight of the show was Tony Lavanant, who duelled against the best drivers in the European KZ1 categories throughout the weekend. He crossed the finishing line with an excellent sixth place, just ahead of a certain Michaël Schumacher. His team mate Marcel Jeleniowski was 14th, three places ahead of Michele D. Martino.
S3 drivers Tommy Thompson and Matt Alcorn struggled with misc mechanical issues throughout heat races, and though they had solid performances in the main, both went relatively un-noticed finishing just outside the front running 9 kart front pack.

Tommy THOMPSON- G R A N J A -baby!!!!!!

SyarMotorsport pilot and Nor Cal, Napa local -Tommy Thompson is the 2009 ProKart Challenge pick to represent the PKC series in the now infamous GRANJA VIANSA 500!
This world level event is held annually in Sao Paulo, Brasil each November and is known for its incredible list of driver entries- to include kart stars as well as F1 stars.
Each year this barely post season endurance kart race draws the world to see karters and top level former karters face off together in a bout of bragging rights and pride!
Already- for this years 2009 Granja, Ferrari F1 driver and Brasilian native Felipe MASSA is claiming the race as his first step towards his 2010 comeback (from mid-season injury)and already going for victory.
Also expected will be returning stars Ruebens BARICHELLO, Bruno SENNA, Tony KANAAN, Dario FRANCHITTI and more.
And now in 2009 Tommy THOMPSON will be carrying the SyarMotosport and ENERGY flags along with the California red-white-and green colors...yeah baby!

Syar Motorsport ENERGY drivers wrap up 2009 Pro Kart Challenge (North)
Excellent results from 'Stock Moto' pilot Tommy THOMPSON who finishes 2nd in the Championship! Very nice finish in this field of 'Ringers' from Thompson -who was up against 'unlimited budget' competitors as well as professional paid pilots from upper formulas. Support of note goes out to his dad Tracy along with tuner Dave CARASCO.
T
Also producing some 'well earned' big results was TAG driver JP CADOUIX. JP concluded his Pro Kart Championship run in this incredibly competative group with a 4th Place Championship position. Very nice results in a 'top level' field by CADOUIX in his first season on the ENERGY chassis!

Syar Motorsport pilot Matt ALCORN, also running in 'Stock Moto' finished the 2009 Championship in 6th position after a season peppered with bad luck, mechanicals and on track incidents, all of which never allowed this talented star driver to properly shine. ALCORN is always a driver never to be underestimated on the grid -and he will definitely be looking to VEGAS for a little 09' redemption!

2008 ENERGY KZ2 European Champion Tony LAVANANT competes in the annual 24Hours of Karting at Le Mans France. With support of Mick PANIGADA of ENERGY, Lavanant will be campaigning the ENERGY Eclipse chassis on the combined team of KARTSPORT MAGAZINE (France.)

07-2009
Nor Cal Homeboy and Crowd favorite Tommy THOMPSON dumps the 'all paid' Trackmagic ride to get back on his beloved ENERGY kart. Thompson who drove on the ENERGY kart in 2008 securing multiple 125 Moto victories also drove the blue chassis all the way back in the early 2000s. Though his temporary departure in 2009 was always on good terms, Tommys return was well recieved by the entire Syar Motorsport team, as he is not only a great fit to our style but a long time friend of the crew.

ENERGY Star Jack HAWKSWORTH Wins MARGUTTI Trophy Round!

Jack Hawksworth took his first major success with Energy/TM at the Margutti. The British driver made an excellent start, followed by his team-mate Paolo De Conto. Alessandro Manetti (AM / TM) attacked and immediately took back second place. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) also made a good start and was already 4th. Manu Renaudie lost ground at the start: he was 6th and attacked like a devil!
Abbasse took a place on the outside of De Conto. In 5th, Roberto Toninelli (CKR / TM) did not give up the lead over Renaudie easily. Renaudie wound up the speed again after the delay, followed by Ryall and Knopper who overcame Varutti. Before mid-race, Abbasse took second through a successful overtaking move on Manetti. The latter reacted, but then lost 3 places to the benefit of De Conto, Toninelli and Renaudie.
While Hawksworth manages to pull out a small gap, Renaudie came back hard on the leaders and overtook Toninelli and De Conto, and in 3rd was not far from Abbasse. Aceto and Varutti finally found the opening on Knopper and moved into the top 10.
At the flag logically Hawksworth took the crown for Flykart ahead of Abbasse and Renaudie. De Conto was 4th, Toninelli 5th, Manetti 6th, Ryall 7th. Varutti finished 9th and his team-mate Ramon 13th.

Press Release 3.05.2009

The California team, based in the 'Bay Area' of Northern California, has made the trek to the East coast to campaign 'Stars' in the classifications of KZ2 (ICC Shifter) and Senior National (Tag Senior.) Though the ENERGY Team has been dabbling a bit in the Florida Winter Tour rounds -taking home multiple wins, the National Tour will begin this weekend under support of the ENERGY Corse factory in Italy and American Importer Syar Motorsport.
The Syar ENERGY program for KZ2 in the 2009 'Stars of Karting' series is to be campaigned by Factory ENERGY pilot Tony LAVANANT, the 2008 CIK European Champion, KZ2. LAVANANT whose first North American appearance was at SuperNationals XI last November, is excited to challenge a new field of drivers in America, and also hopes to bring a bit of the European karting style to the paddock - as he will also be conducting the trackside operations for the Syar Motorsport ENERGY team throughout the season.
TAG karting duties for this weekends round of 'Stars' are under control of Syar Motorsport ENERGY 'Senior National' pilot Pat IANUCCI. Having been on the ENERGY chassis already in 2009 at the 'Florida Winter Tour,' IANUCCI has taken a victory and several Tag Senior podiums on the electric blue go kart this year. “First of all id just like to say thank you to the PDB Racing team and Gillard racing karts. It has been an honour to race for you this year, you guys are a superb. I have decided to move to the Energy Corse team in 2009 however as I see it as a new chapter and another step in my career.

Through Damianos flashes of brilliance when things were right, the ENERGY chassis was however able to start the main from the 3rd row of the grid.

Campbell runs several kart series in the American South-West, both Sprint and Road Race types, and will be on board an ENERGY Kinetic powered by SNOW Maxter in Las Vegas.
In the Honda powered Shifter category, the driver talent remains deep. SyarMotorsport ENERGY team pilots -straight out of California comes Tommy THOMPSON and Matt ALCORN. Both of these young Hotshoes will be running the S3 Stock Moto category on ENERGY chassis and JWR power plants. SNOW concludes STARS Championship in 7th.
After an action packed season of Stars -complete with loads of windshield time between rounds SyarMotorsport Factory driver Clayton SNOW wraps up 2008 well inside North Americas ICC Top 10.
SNOW left the 'Stars of KartingFinale' in Las Vegas with a hard fought Sixth and Seventh place finishes in the 2 Final and point scoring rounds- placing him 7th overall in the Stars field. It was unfortunately not a fun-filled for SNOW and his father and tuner Bob SNOW but the weekend was concluded respectably inside the tough ICC fields top ten.
Thanks for getting the job done guys!

Alex SPEED Crowned 2008 'King of the Streets' aboard SM ENERGY chassis at Rock Island Grand Prix!
SPEED brings home $4k purse in Pro ICC after qualifying on Pole, and winning the main event with a +9.2 second gap on the field, furthermore with minimal test time on the SyarMotorsport ENERGY Kinetic.
Of course with Supertuner Mike SPEED on the job -is anyone suprised? ..nonetheless the ENERGY worked very well for these pros out of the box and responded very well to all their input.
Tag pilot Will MARTINDALE got dosed with bad luck on this little tour unfortunately breaking a chain in qualifying and hence starting from the back.
However the Team Wunderbar phenom manages to bring it home in P6.
Big THANKS to Team SPEED-Wunderbar for the RIDE!

Clayton brings home some Goods!
SyarMotorsport ENERGY driver Clayton SNOW podiums the Maxter powered Energy Kinetic finishing 2nd in Final 1!
Snow kept his Energy ICC up front for most of the weekend including his P2 finish in Final 1, and additionaly running 3rd in Final 2 -which took place during a thundershower of rain.
The down-pour eventually got the better of the 197 kart in turn 4 -where standing water sent Snow off track allowing the field to go through.
The factory ENERGY pilot was able to gather it up and finsh just outside the top ten, in the P11 position.
Congratulations to Clayton for a solid performance, and thanks go out this weekends tuner -the Legendary Mike SPEED, -along with help from Snows dad and motor builder- Bob 'the Avalanche' SNOW.

Additional Team highlights of the weekend for the ENERGY chassis include TAG driver Tony Loniewski running in the top 2 most of the weekend -including a P2 qualifying spot; while his ENRGY TrueNorth teamate Max RIDDLE made a top 10 finish in Final 2.
Though LONIEWSKI had the fields attention all weekend including a win in Heat races, 'on track incidents' in Final 1 and a 'mechanical' DNF in Final 2 kept the ENERGY Tag star from shining.
SM sends our appreciation out to Kevin LOSTER at TrueNorth Motorsports and his pilots that came out to race on ENERGY!

SUPERNATIONALS XI Results, Vegas!
Nov 14-18, 2007 (E Karting News press release)
Supernationals XI concluded with positive results in the ENERGY Corse paddock of SYAR MOTORSPORT -BGR Factory ENERGY Racing Team, as the team produced podium finishes in 3 of the 4 classes campaigned!
While sharing both good and bad luck for on several fronts throughout the event, racing went quite well first in the Rotax Senior Group where SYAR MOTORSPORT Factory ENERGY driver Clayton Snow walked away with the 2nd Place cup, after qualifiying on the pole, and running up front throughout all the heat races.
Snow was followed in the main by his Factory teamate Toms Bobrovskis who traveled to the Las Vegas event all the way from the Eastern European country of Latvia to compete in the SuperNats, and ultimately reached the podium steps capturing a cup -finishing 4th. Bobrovski s-who held fastest time in the qualifying session had a bit of a long weekend after his pole time was disqualified due to a loose airbox boot. Bobrovskis nonetheless produced stellar drives in every heat, starting from last place on the grid and never finishing outside of the top ten in the 39 kart field!

Taking more good with the bad, in S1 Group- ICC Ametuer, the ENERGY chassis' stayed on top throughout the weekend as Factory driver from Spain- Iago Rego dominated the field from pole, and winning all his heat races -and furthermore began his march away from the field in the main. Such wasnt to be -as Iagos' RIZZI powered TM had a spark plug failure which would then trigger his undue mechanical dnf.
Regos' retirement however opened the door for his American ENERGY teamate -young Bud Grossenbacher, driving out of BGR Racing Ltd. Arizona. Grossenbacher and his crew kept their ENERGY kart in the front throughout the event and with Regos' walk in the main over, young Bud kept the charge on and with his consistency, brought his BGR ENERGY away with the 2nd Place Cup and job very well done.

SYAR MOTORSPORT Factory ENERGY also produced positive results in the Rotax Masters group, with Reno NV driver Dave Harwin, who ran excellent throughout practice sessions -keeping fastest time his all the day, but was later plauged by engine issues during some of the heat races. Harwin however stuck to his capaign and ultimately got things sorted out -where he could put his ENERGY chassis to work, concluding the day with yet another podium finish for the team and taking away a 4th place cup.

As things went quite well for SYAR MOTORSPORT Factory ENERGY Racing Team on several fronts -racing in SuperPro, the Top Level ICC group, was plagued with mixed luck for ENERGY Factory drivers Clayton Snow of CA and Mathias Gallepe of France. As both drivers campaigned their RIZZI TM powered ENERGY Kinetic packages, Snow ran as high as 5th in the heat races showing flashes of brilliant speed but was knocked by racing incidences and mechanical flukes such as a cracked spark plug -producing dnfs.
Gallepe also endured his share of bad luck which began with a trip to the hospital, after a heat race incident put him into the armco barrier and impacting his elbow. When Mathias was able to get on his wheels such as in the LCQ, he stormed off and left the rest of the field by more than 30 kart lengths. In the main however, Gallepe was caught up in pile up on the start which took out a number of drivers including such top talent as Speed, Rudolf, Jurca, Manetti and Piccini - which ended his race and any hopes for ENERGY to make results in SuperPro.
All in all it was a very solid showing for SYAR MOTORSPORT -BGR Factory ENERGY Racing Team at Super Nationals XI, and we would like to thank all who helped make our weekend a good time. SYAR MOTORSPORT Factory ENERGY Racing Team uses RIZZI Powered TM ICC engines, LUCKY DESIGN Helmets, PRECISION WORKS Rotax Engines, SNOW Tuning, and BGR Racing Engineering.

Saturdays luck runs into Sunday, as driver Clayton SNOW puts a pass from 7 to 6th position on TopKarts Matt JASKOL in Pre Final. SNOW completes the pass on Jaskol and goes into P6 entering the 'corkscrew' - and is then rammed from behind by the retaliating TopKart. Jaskol ends up driving over SNOWs Energy- landing on the steering column and destroys the chassis for the main. Both drivers DNF and Jaskol somehow dodges penalty.
SNOW out DNS main.
Lets hope for better race karma on sunday.
